WWE commentator Pat McAfee revealed the eye injury he suffered at the hands of the 'Ring General' Gunther at Backlash. His latest match against WWE's Gunther left Pat McAfee battered, and he revealed another injury during the May 12, 2025, edition of Monday Night RAW on Netflix.

As CinemaBlend guessed in our WWE Backlash predictions, Pat McAfee could not best Gunther in a one-on-one singles match. The outcome is hardly surprising, but the follow-up reaction from the commentator certainly threw me for a loop. While I expected him to take some time off following the loss, it sounds like it could be longer than anticipated.

I'll be the first to admit, I'm not a huge WWE fan. To be honest, I haven't watched it religiously since I was probably 10 years old, but when former West Virginia star Pat McAfee has a match, it's must-see TV.
