Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce skipped the Met Gala yesterday, but the power couple reportedly had a very good reason for missing the star-studded affair.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and global pop star Taylor Swift did not attend the Met Gala in New York City on Monday night because their schedules reportedly wouldn't allow it. According to TMZ Sports, Kelce and Swift were invited to the event, but scheduling conflicts prevented them from attending.

The last time Taylor Swift posed at the Met Gala red carpet steps was in 2016, when she served as one of the evening’s co-chairs for the “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology” theme. That year marked her sixth appearance at the annual fashion event, having previously attended in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014.
