Space Exploration Technologies（SpaceX、スペースX）の拠点である「Starbase」（スターベース）を市として法人化する案が可決された。住民投票が米国時間5月3日に実施された。

「スペースX」は南部テキサス州のキャメロン郡にロケットの打ち上げ拠点を置いていて、3日、この拠点のある地域を新たな「市」として認めるかどうかを問う住民投票が行われました。

イーロン・マスク氏率いる米宇宙開発企業スペースXは、テキサス州で大型宇宙船「スターシップ」の打ち上げ回数を増やす計画について当局の許可を得た。同社は全米各地でスターシップと「ファルコン」ロケットの打ち上げ回数を増やそうと取り組んでいる。
